Trend Micro Earns STIG-Approval for Operating on U.S. Department of Defense Networks
The STIG approval process encompasses proof points – policy requirements for security programs and best practices for Information Assurance (IA)-enabled applications. All DoD IT assets must meet STIG compliance before being permitted to operate on networks. DISA confirmed that Trend Micro Deep Security met all technical NIST SP 800-53 criteria. This approval further demonstrates the company’s ability to provide government customers with solutions consistent with DoD cybersecurity policies, standards, architectures, security controls and validation procedures.
Trend Micro Cloud App Security Expanding to Integrate with Major Cloud Sharing Services
Cloud App Security enhances cloud file sharing and collaboration services and Microsoft Office 365 with advanced threat protection and compliance controls, using standard published vendors’ APIs. Since it started operating last July, it has protected Office 365 users from 500,000 malicious files and URLs. The solution now enforces compliance and keeps malware out of cloud services on Box, Dropbox, and Google Drive. Cloud App Security integrates with Trend Micro Control Manager to provide user-centric visibility of compliance and threat events across multiple security layers.
